A little more on Sophie!

Sophie White’s first book, the critically acclaimed Recipes for a Nervous Breakdown (Gill 2016), a “genre-crossing gem that mixes memoir, recipes and rants” (Irish Examiner) was shortlisted for the BGE Irish Book Awards.

She has written a weekly column The Domestic for the Sunday Independent LIFE magazine for six years, she also writes regularly for the Sunday Independent, IMAGE magazine, IMAGE.ie, the Irish Independent and The Pool (UK) and has been nominated twice for Journalist of the Year at the Irish Magazine Awards. White has also dabbled in stand up and wrote the comedy sketch series Mums One-upping for HerFamily.ie (parenting focused sister site to Joe.ie and Her.ie). She also created the mini cooking series Recipes For Actual Real Life commissioned by RTE and transmitted exclusively on their online player. She is co-host of the chart-topping podcasts, Mother Of Pod (comedy) and The Spill by IMAGE.ie (culture and commentary). She was born in Dublin and holds a First Class Honours Degree in Scupture from NCAD and is very good at instigating human pyramids.
